Good Practice

EU FLAG projects as of February 2020With the second generation of FLAGs now up and running, there is a growing number of project examples from the past and the present which can inspire other actions aimed at developing fisheries and aquaculture areas around Europe, be it through economic, environmental or social support and investment.
The project descriptions and short stories below give an insight into some of the local projects funded by the FLAGs, while the methods provide helpful examples of effective programme management, ranging from community outreach to FLAG self-assessment.

    Οι μικρής κλίμακας παράκτιοι αλιείς και ιχθυοκαλλιεργητές έχουν συμμετάσχει ενεργά στο σχεδιασμό ενός σχεδίου παράκτιας διαχείρισης για την ακτογραμμή της Εμίλια-Ρομάνια. Το εν λόγω σχέδιο διαχείρισης αποθεμάτων επικεντρώθηκε σε τρία τοπικά είδη υψηλής αξίας που προσδιορίστηκαν από τον κλάδο σε περιφερειακό επίπεδο.

  • Fishers campaigning for reducing plastic in ports

  • Autumn Passages 2020: promoting fisheries in the old city of Nessebar

    The municipality of Nessebar organised the first edition of “Autumn Passages” in 2020. During this festival, the local community and tourists enjoyed of a wide range of activities to promote Black Sea fisheries products, fishing as a profession and preserving maritime heritage.

  • ΘΠΠ: υπό την επιτήρηση των αλιέων

  • Freeing maritime areas from poaching

  • Εφαρμογή κινητού τηλεφώνου για την αναφορά αλιευτικών δεδομένων

    Η ομάδα FLAG Ανατολικής Φινλανδίας έχει υποστηρίξει τη δημιουργία μιας εφαρμογής κινητού τηλεφώνου για τους αλιείες εσωτερικών υδάτων της Φινλανδίας με σκοπό την καταγραφή των αλιευμάτων τους. Το εργαλείο που εκπονήθηκε από το Πανεπιστήμιο Εφαρμοσμένων Επιστημών και ξεκίνησε να χρησιμοποιείται το Μάιο του 2020 θα ενισχύσει τη συλλογή και την ιχνηλασιμότητα των αλιευτικών δεδομένων σε όλο το εύρος της αλιευτικής αλυσίδας αξίας.

  • Creating a new tourist destination based on recreational fishing

    Despite experiencing environmental strain, the Limfjord has an abundance of sea trout. This species is very attractive to anglers. A FLAG-LAG cooperation project addresses local economic and environmental goals by creating a new tourist location based on recreational fishing.
