The periodic and final REPA has to contain the Technical part B and the Financial statement.

The report, in all cases, must be submitted in the 60 days after the end of the reporting period.

ERC Scientific Reporting

For ERC-ADG/COG/STG: on 08.04.2021, the new ERC scientific reports (opened after this date) have been revised as follows: 

1. in the ERC Scientific Report (structured Part B): some sections that are no longer needed have been eliminated, the existing sections/questions have been re-written, a few tabs have been re-named.
2. in the "Publications" tab (Part A, present also in the Continuous and Periodic Reporting), the last column ('Relevance to project objectives') has been removed. 

The changes have been implemented in the related pdf documents ('Part B of the ERC Scientific Report' and 'Questionnaire for the reporting') generated for the revised reports but no change should have been applied to the old reports (those that were open before the revision date or the closed ones). Now the issue of the incorrect generation of the pdf version for the old reports is fixed.

General

• For the LIFE programme: a new role, Technical Monitor, has been created in the Grant Management Services (GMS). The Technical Monitors will be able to access all processes and tasks in GMS, in Read-Only mode, starting with the "Proposal Management and Grant Preparation" process. Additionally, they can access the Communication Center and exchange messages with the Coordinator and reply to the Project Officer. The Communication Center will now show both the sender and the recipient (not just the sender). The Communication Center will have a new option for the Coordinator to select from a list of recipients (either Technical Monitor or EU.)

Amendments

• The full name of the PLSIGN and the date when the PLSIGN signed the amendment on behalf of the Consortium will be added to the amendment request letter.

• For the MFF 2021-2027, the Grant Termination process will be launched via an Amendment. This is done as usual in GMS by selecting "Launch new interaction with the EU" and then selecting the option "Grant Agreement Termination by the beneficiaries".
  The only difference between MFF 2021-2027 and the previous MFF (2014-2020), is that in the cases of the previous MFF a dedicated Grant Agreement Termination process was launched in GMS after choosing the option. From now on, an Amendment process will be launched (AT37 - GA/FPA termination (early termination)) and the grant is terminated via the Amendment process. Grant Agreement Preparation

• The SyGMa Researchers screen is now available, to be used during Grant Agreement Preparation, for all HORIZON Europe projects. For more information, please click here.

Project Monitoring - Innovation Radar

• It is now possible during an Innovation Radar review to archive an Innovation detected during a previous Innovation Radar review. This may happen when the Innovation is no more relevant and should always be agreed with the PO and the Coordinator. The Innovation will be moved to a specific table of Innovations archived during this Innovation Radar, along with the reason of archiving, will not be editable any more and will not appear in the report, nor in subsequent Innovation Radars. After archiving it, the user is still able to un-archive (restore) it during this Innovation Radar.

MFF2020 - Amendments

• The Amendment Information screen has been modified (for both MFF2020 and MFF2027) as follows:

  • The editing of amendment clause variables can be done now by clicking a pencil icon
  • Previewing of the amendment clause is not anymore part of the variables pop-up. A separate download buttonhas been added, instead, in the amendment clause actions to preview the clause.

MFF2020 - Reporting and Payment

• If the same legal entity (PIC) participates in the project multiple times (for example, as linked third party/affiliated entity for 2 different beneficiaries; or started its participation to the project as linked third party/affiliated entity and re-enters as beneficiary or vice-versa), the "requested contribution eligible for CFS" is considered cumulative for that PIC across all participations to the project. In case the CFS is required, the Consortium will need to upload it via a Formal Notification as Annex to the Periodic Report - Part B. The EU Officers will then assess the CFS document.
  The system checks, when the session is opened to the Consortium to compose and submit the Project Periodic Reporting and and also when the Periodic Report is assessed by the EU Officers (assessment session), if any of the concerned participants (PICs) for the current periodic report had multiple participations during the project lifecycle. If that is the case, a warning will be displayed in each Financial Statement screen for the concerned participant. For more information, click here. 
  

MFF2027 - Proposal Management and Grant Preparation, Amendments

• The Deviation report has been now disabled, as requested, for all H2020 MSCA types of action ((i.e.: IF, ITN, RISE, COFUND and NIGHT).

Right to React for EIC Pathfinder Open 2021

• A new process is available for the EIC Pathfinder Open 2021 call.

This new process, called Right to React, and also referred to as Rebuttal, consists of inviting the coordinator of the proposal to provide additional information, which will be taken into consideration within the evaluation of the proposal.

This invitation takes place during the Consensus Group phase of the evaluation process. Upon the receipt of the report/letter inviting to provide the additional information, the coordinator can upload their response in the Grant Management System (GMS) within an amount of days specific to the Call (usually 5 or 7 calendar days). The response has a limited extension and providing it is optional. The task will autocomplete in GMS, once the limit date is reached.

OLD MFF 2014-2020 - Amendments

Periodic reporting

• For SME-2B: the Prefinancing letters for the 'Periodic Prefinancings' (i.e. additional prefinancing payments) for the SME-2B projects are now automatically generated. Also, in case the statement on the use of the previous prefinancing payment is sent back to the Consortium, the Suspension Payment Deadline letter will also be generated, with the related explanation info added by the Financial Officer in Sygma (in the Reporting Assessment). 

Scientific Reporting

• The content of the ERC Scientific Report has been revised (several sections have been re-written and others, no longer needed, have been removed, a few titles have been also changed).  

Proposal Management and Grant Preparation

• In the case of unsigned accession forms and linked third parties pending to be validated a Participant Notification message (PNS) - Reminder to sign the accession form for Grant Agreement - is sent to both the Coordinator (CoCo) and the Project Legal Signatory (PLSIGN). Project Monitoring

• For deliverables with the dissemination level Public: the pop-up warning the user that the deliverable will be published on the web (at the submission and approval by the Project Officer), has been extended to all Grants and its text has been made clearer.

General

• Whenever the LEAR is included in any system sent communications (i.e. email, Participant Notification System (PNS) communications, Formal Notifications), then the Account Administrator will also receive a copy of such communication.
• The Participant Notification System (PNS) messages for all business processes have been revised. For more information, please click here.

Thus, for AMIF, ISFP, ISFB and JUST-DRUGS, the Ethics Sygma screen displays only the ethics categories and issues pertinent to the Programme.
