Event
At the initiative of DG MARE, the FARNET Support Unit organised for the first time in an online format organising its 11th transnational seminar for FLAGs from the Mediterranean and Black Sea. It focussed on some of the common challenges faced in these sea basins such as the viability and sustainability of fisheries, aquaculture and tourism in Mediterranean and Black Sea, as well actions FLAGs can foster to protect the marine eco-systems they depend on.
The online seminar aimed to:
Raise the capacity of FLAGs to develop and implement effective local projects that respond to these challenges
Stimulate exchange, learning and cooperation and promote new funding opportunities
