Creating a Profile as an Expert

If you wish to work as an expert for the European Institutions or have been invited to register in the context of applicant in a hearing, or as a Principal Investigator, please go to the  Funding and tenders portal,  and create your profile. To access the registration tool, you need to log in with a valid Funding & Tenders Portal (EU Login) account. If you do not have an EU Login account, click the Register button and follow the instructions to register your account.

Log into the F&T Portal, click Work as an Expert, then Register as expert.

If you wish to update your existing profile, log in, then choose My Expert Area from the left-hand Navigation bar.

The My expert area page is displayed.

Click the View/Edit profile button to open your expert profile.

Expert Duplicate Profiles

As an expert you should only have one expert profile. Each profile has a unique identifier that looks something like this:
EX2007D12345.

An expert profile uniquely identifies a person, and needs to remain unique so that the rotation rules can be applied correctly. See the  Call for expression of interest for experts for details on the rotation rules.

Whenever the system detects a duplicate profile, a warning is displayed in your profile:

If you see that your profile is flagged as a duplicate, do not continue to complete this profile with additional information.  Instead, you should reflect as to why the system has detected a duplicate profile.  In most cases, you have probably created a new profile, having lost access to your initial profile. Please note that access to your initial profile can be restored even if you lost access to the email address that was used to create the profile.  See here for details on how to proceed.

If you still have access to the email address of your initial profile, you can modify the email address of your initial profile via this  guidance .

After you have restored access to your initial profile, there is no further action you need to take.  If an EU service is interested in your profile, they will contact you to resolve the duplicate profile in due course, before issuing a contract.  Please do not contact the service desk to remove a duplicate profile, as they will not be able to manage your request.
