    This cooperation project aimed to apply a technology based on the “blockchain” principle to fisheries. By using this trustworthy shared recording system, the three FLAGs implemented a traceability system which provides complete and accurate information to consumers of artisanal fishing products.

    Ce projet de coopération visait à déployer une technologie fondée sur le principe de la « blockchain » dans des zones de pêche. En utilisant ce système de stockage multi-utilisateurs sécurisé, les trois GALPA ont mis en place un mécanisme de traçabilité qui fournit des informations complètes et précises aux consommateurs de produits issus de la pêche artisanale.

Deux GALPA ont coopéré et apporté leur soutien à cette campagne de sensibilisation à la durabilité environnementale et à la qualité de cette technique de pêche.

    The East Finland FLAG has supported the creation of a mobile app for Finnish inland fishers to register their catches. Developed by a University of Applied Sciences and introduced in May 2020, the tool will enhance catch-data collection and traceability along the fisheries value chain.
