Welcome to the Best Practice Portal
This portal is a "one-stop shop" for consulting good and best practices collected in actions co-funded under the Health Programmes and for submitting practices for assessment. All practices in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention and the management of non-communicable diseases are welcome. Those practices that are selected as "best" against the criteria adopted by the Steering Group on Prevention and Promotion will also be published on this portal.
DG SANTE has made it a priority to Identify, disseminate and transfer best practices in order to make progress in health promotion and in non-communicable disease prevention in Europe. DG SANTE also hopes these efforts will help reach the Sustainable Development Goal 3.4 to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by one-third by 2030, through prevention and treatment, and to also help reach the nine UN/WHO global voluntary targets for health.
The specific call for public health best practices conducive to reaching SDG 3.4 is closed. No other specific call is planned at the moment. This portal remains however open for stakeholders to submit evaluated practices.
External evaluators will assess the submitted practices against the criteria adopted by the Steering Group on Health Promotion, Disease Prevention and Management of Non-Communicable Diseases.
Before submitting, please consult the submitter’s guide.
