User Access Requests

Q:

How long does it take to have my user profile request validated? Who should I contact?

A:

The validation of your user profile is the responsibility of the Local User Administrator(s) (LUA) and Local Actor Administrator(s) (LAA) of the Actor. The LUA/LAA has no deadline for validating your user profile.

If you have questions about the status of your user profile request, you should contact the Actor or, if you know them, the LUA/LAA(s) of the Actor.

Q:

I have registered my actor in EUDAMED. Can I delegate the Local Actor Administrator (LAA) and Local User Administrator (LUA) profiles to another user?

A:

No, you cannot delegate your user profiles, but other users can request LAA and LUA profiles. This process must be initiated by the user who is requesting access, and access is approved or rejected by an active LUA or LAA. There is no limitation on the number of users with the same profile for an actor.

Q:

What is the difference between the LAA and the LUA?

A:

The LAA is the Local Actor Administrator and is responsible for managing the Actor data whereas the LUA is the Local User Administrator and is responsible for managing the user data of the Actor. For more information, consult the user guide.

Q:

My organisation has multiple actor roles in EUDAMED. Can the same user act under several actors?

A:

Yes, at the condition the different actor registration request(s) or user access request(s) made by the user have been validated by a competent authority or approved by a Local Actor Administrator (LAA) or Local User Administrator (LUA) of the related Actor.

Q:

Can a profile be revoked or amended without affecting the other users?

A:

Yes. A user can request a change in their profile from their My account page and a LUA or LAA can terminate access for a user from the Manage your users page. This does not impact the other users, except that the last remaining LAA of an actor cannot be terminated.

Q:

How can I update my user details and notification settings?

A:

This can be done in the My account(s) page, accessible after being logged in by clicking on your account name at the top right.

Q:

I have changed job and I am now working for a different manufacturer. Can I change my affiliation and keep the same user profile?

A:

Although your EU Login profile may remain the same, you need to submit a new user access request for the 'new' actor. Your 'former actor' LAA/LUA can terminate your former access.

Q:

I have submitted a user access request, where can I find it?

A:

You can find your pending requests on the My pending requests page.

If you are linked to more than one Actor, on the My Actors page, which is your homepage when accessing EUDAMED, click on the See my pending Requests link (bottom left).

If you are linked to only one actor registered or you have already selected the actor and accessed the dashboard, click on the link with your name (top right corner) → scroll down till the end of the page → click on See my pending Requests.

Q:

Can I request access for a specific access right not granted by default to my current profile?

A:

It depends on the role of your Actor and the possible related profiles it can have. If possible, you should request for another profile with higher access rights that will have to be approved by a LAA or LUA of the Actor who is not yourself. Any change of profile needs to be requested in the My account(s) page, accessible from the dashboard.

Q:

Can I change the Local Actor Administrator (LAA) for my actor?

A:

No, it is not possible to change an Actor LAA, only a LAA (or Local User Administrator{LUA}) can approve a request for a new one and to terminate an existing one.

When a user wants to be LAA for an Actor, the need to enter a user access request asking for LAA profile for the Actor that needs to be validated by another LAA (or Local User Administrator {LUA}) of the same Actor.

This new LAA may then terminate an existing one.

There should always be more than one LAA/LUA as back-up in case of leave or absence but also to approve requests for updated profiles from other LAA/LUAs (a LAA/LUA cannot approve they own user requests for profile changes).

Q:

How can I add a second Local Actor Administrator (LAA)?

A:

A person needs to submit user access request with LAA profile and a current LAA/LUA needs to approve it.
