Search for or Create a Means of Transport

On the COI certificate, click on the button Add Means of Transport in box 17 and choose the type of transport in the drop down list:

Depending on the type of transport you have chosen, enter either the registration number, flight number or ship's name or part of it. For ships and road vehicles you first need to select the country, where the vehicle is registered. The matching transport types that have already been inserted in the system are automatically shown. When you select the desired means of transport from the appearing list,the remaining fields are automatically filled!

Note: If you were unable to locate the means of transport, you can create a new one.

In box 17 of the COI the certificate complete the appropriate details. Type of transport, registration number/flight number/ship's name are mandatory.

Then click the green + Create new button on the right of the box.

The new means of transport is added to the COI certificate and to the TRACES NT Database at the same time. When you need to select the same one for a later COI, you can simply search for it, as described above
