Visita has continued it´s work in cooperation with the authorities concerning responsible service of alcohol and regularly attends meetings with the authorities on the matter in projects like STAD (Stockholm Prevents Alcohol and Drug Problems) in Stockholm and RUS (Restaurants Development Co-operation) in Gothenburg with the purpose to through education and research reduce alcohol-related harm and in particular service to under-age and intoxicated people.
We have informed our member companies on the issues discussed during these meetings.
Visita has regularly informed and given advice to it´s members on the importance of not serving under-age or intoxicated people and other questions concerning alcohol. Visita regularly gets contacted by member companies concerning the alcohol issue. During the discussions with the companies, we have informed on the swedish rules on alcohol and about the importance of not serving alcohol to under-age or intoxicated people.
In different kinds of meetings when we gather member companies, we also have informed on the issue.
Visita has been marketing the book ''Responsible handling of alcohol'' on Visita´s website, through leaflets and on special occasions where restaurant companies has been gathered. The book was during 2015 sold in 65 copies.
Visita attended during 2015 the following larger meetings concerning the alcohol issue:
- HOTREC General Assembly in Luxembourg, 23-24 April 2015
- HOTREC General Assembly in The Hague, The Netherlands, 4-6 November 2015
Visita has during the period also informed it´s member companies on Visita`s membership in Alcohol Forum and the commitments taken.
Objectives (cf. sections 4-5 of the Monitoring Commitment in Annex II of the Forum Charter): in which way and to which extent have the objectives set out in the original commitment form been achieved in the reporting period?
Visita has through the actions taken contributed to informing and raising awareness among our members and others concerning the importance of not serving alcohol to under-age or intoxicated people.
In our daily contact with member companies we have supported actions on responsible service of alcohol, and we also emphasize this through Visitas Ethic rules, which have an explicit rule on the issue.
Relevance (i.e. how did the commitment during the reporting period contribute to achieving the overall aims of the Forum - cf. section 3 of the Monitoring Commitment in Annex II of the Forum Charter)
Through informing and raising awareness conccerning under-age drinking and other alcohol issues among the member-companies of Visita, we havde contributed to the aims of the Forum.
Visita´s information and advice to the member-companies has helped and supported the companies to serve alcohol in a responsible way. Through projects like STAD in Stockholm we also contributed to the education of the enterprises´staff concerning responsible service of alcohol.
The co-operation between Visita and authorities and researchers in projects like the STAD-project has over all shown positive results and it is clear that the models work. The actions taken have in this way contributed to curbing under-age drinking and to promote responsible service of alcohol.
Input indicators (resources allocated to the commitment ("What was done to put the objectives into practice?") - cf. section 5a of the Monitoring Commitment in Annex II of the Forum Charter)

However, many more have been involved in the work with the commitments, such as gatherings and events, advising member-companies, attending meetings with authorities, member-companies, Alcohol Forum and HOTREC and distributing information on the issue. Also our regional representatives are involved concerning the importance of responsible service of alcohol.
The persons working on the issue are legal advisers (informing the member companies on the rules), as well as persons working with communication.
