fup2 Commission Services 24/03/2020 withdrawal of original notification In light of the amended annex III of regulation 1925/2006, the EU legal limit for trans fatty acids does not apply until 1 April 2021. When the legislation was adopted in 2019, there was a 2 year transition period granted, ending 1 April 2021, to enable food business operators to adapt their processes/recipes to the new requirements.
