Help Flash
Netun Solutions S.L. is a Spanish company born in 2016 with the aim of creating
innovative solutions in road safety around the world through technologies that
connect asphalt, people and machines. NETUN has developed Help Flash®, a compact
device that uses LED technology. It has a completely automatic magnetic activation. It
is a signaling beacon that meets the current Road Safety Regulations. Using LED
technology and a parabolic reflector it emits a triple amber flash (like the international
S.O.S. message) in all directions (360 degrees), and in a closed angle, so that the
vehicle can be detected immediately, in less than 20 seconds from its stop, by all other
drivers within a radius of one kilometer. The device also has a white working light
mode. Help Flash works with a high-performance battery independent of the electrical
system of the vehicle, with great autonomy.
By applying a communication module to the basic Help Flash, and by developing an
appropriate back-office system we have developed Help Flash Smart, so we can
achieve our goal of automatically send the location data of the beacon when it is
activated, as well as data of the incident to the insurance company or the emergency
services.

What problem did you address/are you addressing?
According to the Department of Traffic of Spain, “The stop of a vehicle on the road due to breakdown or accident, poses a serious risk to traffic. Currently the systems and signals used do not offer adequate protection and sometimes expose the driver and<br>its occupants to new risks. “<br>Danger increases when visibility is poor, in the twilight, at night or in badly lit roads.<br><br>The current signaling systems:<br>• Do not prioritize the safety of the occupants of the vehicle<br>• They are not efficient, since using them requires several minutes<br>• They can not be used in both four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles<br>• They can not be used by people with reduced mobility<br>of fatal accidents occurin the twilight or during the night<br>of accidents occur on roads without sufficient lighting

How did you evaluate/are you evaluating the success of your action?
Help Flash is a product recommended by the Department of Traffic of Spain, certified by<br>Applus+ Idiada in accordance with the Ministerial Order PCI<br>/ 810/2018, of July 27, which modifiestheannexesII,XIand XVIII of the General Regulation ofVehicles,approvedbyRoyal Decree 2822/1998, of December 23.<br>Netun Solutions, S.L.. has been certified by Applus+ with the ISO 9001 and ISO 39001 quality<br>standard, which guarantees maximum rigor in all our processes.<br>In the same way, our Help Flash device has obtained the FCC, CE and RoHS certificates.<br>On the other hand Applus+ has tested the device for IK04 and IP54, determining that it is in accordance with the applied specifications of these standards. These tests verify the resistance to water and shock.<br>In the same way the project has received different awards granted by entities in the field of road safety. Help Flash was the winner of the 3rd Edition of the Entrepreneurs and Road Safety Award of the Línea Directa Foundation, as well as the winner of the IV Edition of the Opensurance Awards of the Axa Foundation, of the Innovation Gallery Award in the International Motortec-Automechanika Fair and of the Innovation Award in Road Safety and Sustainable Mobility of the CNAE Foundation, just to name a few.<br><br><br><br><br>
