What are you doing/aiming to do for road safety?

Our concrete actions forming the commitment to the European Road Safety Charter are the following:

1. Improving the quality of initial training - in the end of 2010 we will prepare a Driver Handbook with principle normative requirements and peculiarities of driving. It will be given to new employees when they start working for us. In the handbook there will be information for the procedure of safe usage of the company´s car fleet, including instructions on actions in case of accident.

2. Improving the quality of regular trainings - every three months we will prepare corporate information boards with the most common problems on the road, giving advice on how to change the behaviour of the driver to avoid those. Furthermore we will distinguish the best drivers of the company.

3. Control of compliance with speed limits - we will supply every vehicle of the company with a GPS - Global Positioning system to control their speed and will relate our bonus scheme for the employees with their compliance to speed limits.

4. We will initiate compulsory safety checks of the vehicle by a professional auto mechanic before and after every journey.

5. We will gradually invest in a more ecological and safer car fleet.

6. We will emphasize the detailed information provided to our drivers regarding the specifics of the selected national and international routes and aim at reducing the empty mileage. In addition we will establish a system of permanent communication between the driver and the dispatcher, who monitors traffic circuitous routes.

Based on the success of those actions, we will continue with them in the following 2 years as well.
