We have established traffic safety classrooms in the police headquarters of participating regions. Both pre-school and general education students are participating in organized visits. The visitors are assuming multiple roles as drivers, pedestrians and passengers. They acquire theoretical and practical knowledge, relative to the safe use of our roads. The Lithuanian Traffic Police Service represents the Lithuanian Police within the national traffic safety system, ensures the implementation of effective measures for safer traffic. The number of children killed in traffic accidents in Lithuania has decreased by a dramatic 79% since the inception of the program.
