From 1 March 2016, Attila Dudra will be a member of the Competition Council of the GVH. The Competition Council is a separate, independent decision-making body within the GVH. According to the Hungarian Competition Act, the President of the GVH nominates the member of the Competition Council and the President of Hungary appoints the member. The appointment is for a term of six years and the member may be re-appointed once.
The Competition Council has 8 members. Attila Dudra will be an invaluable addition to the respected members of the Council, given his great expertise in the field of competition law. He graduated from the University of Miskolc, Faculty of Economics in 2000 and he obtained a legal certificate from the Faculty of Law in 2004. He has been working at the GVH since 2001. Until 2012, he was a case handler in a number of sections and was specialised in info, communications and network industries. For four years, he was the head of the Merger Section. He is a member of the Merger Working Group of the European Competition Network in the name of the GVH.
