Channel Arc Manche Being the main gateway to North West Europe and one of the busiest seas in the world, the Channel is a unique maritime area and a major economic, environmental and social challenge. This page intends to present the work done by CAMIS, a Franco-British cooperation project aiming to develop an Integrated Maritime Strategy for the Channel area. By including contributions from other stakeholders such as the Arc Manche Assembly and other maritime projects part-financed by the Interreg IVA France (Channel) – England programme, this page also aims to highlight the strategic interests and the specific characteristics of the Channel area.
