ACFA
The ACFA is composed of 21 representatives of the following interests: professional organisations representing the production sector, the processing industry and trade in fishery and aquaculture products as well as non-professional organisations representing the interests of consumers, the environment and development. The Members of ACFA are appointed by the Commission following proposals from the organisations set up at Community level, which are the most representative of the interests concerned. They meet according to an annual work programme adopted in agreement with the Commission.

0SEMINAR ON PRICE FORMATION AND MARKETING OF FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE PRODUCTS, BRUSSELS 10 DECEMBER 2010

  The Commission has organised a seminar with the purpose to gather operators from the fishing and aquaculture industry (from first sale to retail, including wholesalers, processors and distributors) and civil society in order to improve knowledge about costs and prices all along the supply chain.

  ACFA has issued the opinion on "Improvement of consumer information on fresh fish products". This opinion has been endorsed by all the members of ACFA except by AIPCE and CEP that have expressed their different views (in annex)
