ACFA
The ACFA is composed of 21 representatives of the following interests: professional organisations representing the production sector, the processing industry and trade in fishery and aquaculture products as well as non-professional organisations representing the interests of consumers, the environment and development. The Members of ACFA are appointed by the Commission following proposals from the organisations set up at Community level, which are the most representative of the interests concerned. They meet according to an annual work programme adopted in agreement with the Commission.

0ACFA'S RESOLUTION ON HARMONISATION IN TERMINOLOGY

ACFA has adopted a Resolution on harmonisation in terminology at its Plenary meeting of 1/7/2010. In this Resolution, ACFA askes that the terminology uses in the Commission's future legal texts to be coherent, clear to understand and unambiguous.

The aim of this workshop is to hold discussions between gear experts,NGOs and the fishing industry on the current system of technical conservation measures in the EU to learn how technical conservation measures could possibly be regulated in the future Reformed CFP.
