The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on integration of maritime surveillance (IMS) is a technically oriented advisory group composed of national experts that do not represent their Member State but represent a 'function' for all Member States. The TAG represents the same 7 functions as the MSEsG: Safety and Security, Fisheries control, Environment, Border control, General law enforcement, Customs and Defence. The TAG provides advice and expertise on IMS matters. The TAG is chaired by the European Commission represented by DG MARE and the Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC). The JRC also holds the TAG's secretariat.
