Just around the Black Sea Action Day (31st of October), the EU4Ocean Coalition is preparing the Let’s make the Black Sea Blue event, supported by the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission.

A fresh new approach for a complex group of stakeholders is being put in place for this sea basin event, both in on-site and online activities.

    What the event will emphasize:

    • Strengthening the understanding of the ocean literacy concept, in Black Sea countries
    • Empowering enthusiastic young people with ideas and passion for ocean literacy activities
    • Bringing the sea closer to teachers and students, by providing tools and ideas on how the topic can be included in the curricula or in the extra-curricular activities
    • The Black Sea Ocean Literacy Festival that will bring together diverse institutions and many side events, from workshops, to plogging, beach art, litter art and many more
    • Promoting the #MakeEUBlue campaign that has been launched at European Maritime Day 2021 and is ongoing

Join the event and contribute with your ideas and views on ocean literacy in the Black Sea countries!
