Supported by the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission, the EU4Ocean Coalition held the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea basin event. It was dedicated to the ocean literacy activities in the European countries bordering the area or linked to the Atlantic and the North Sea.
The event brought together the community active or interested in advocacy and raising awareness of the importance of the ocean, marine resources and ocean science for the blue economy and sustainable development of the region. The aim was to exchange good practice, foster partnerships and explore fresh ways of involving the audiences in this sea basin.
The Atlantic Ocean and North Sea basin event was composed of two parts:
The Atlantic Ocean and North Sea basin event also included several youth outreach events: a presentation of the Youth4Ocean Forum, “Meet a Blue Expert” youth outreach event on 20th May 2021, Young Ocean Advocates pitching their projects, and other activities organised by the members of the Youth4Ocean Forum and young people.
The workshop and the festival were free of charge.
HOW TO ATTEND
To attend the workshop, participatns needed to register for the European Maritime Conference first and then select our workshop on B2Match by adding it to their agenda.
