Major research and innovation funders around the Baltic Sea and the North Sea are preparing the framework for a joint Baltic and North Sea research and innovation programme. The programme, as it is planned in BANOS CSA, intends to fund high quality science and innovation based on its joint marine and maritime strategic agenda in support of sustainable use of ecosystem goods and services. Together with HELCOM, OSPAR, ICES and JPI Oceans as its strategic partners, the BANOS CSA consortium is building the necessary preconditions for running the programme. BANOS Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) is significantly contributing to the preparation of the Horizon Europe Blue Economy Partnership and its SRIA.
