    Virtual Regional Workshop Series

Virtual Regional Workshops aim to engage maritime stakeholders and organisations working in the areas of innovation, investment and entrepreneurship. These stakeholders play a vital role in the development of Europe’s Blue Economy, acting as multipliers, ambassadors, opportunity identifiers and change agents. They include but are not limited to environmental and business organisations, incubators, accelerators and clusters, trade promotion and industry organisations, universities, research institutes and citizen groups.

The virtual workshops shall be organised across the EU Sea Basins, to provide emphasis to the issues and concerns specific to the members of each sea basin.

    The workshops will tackle:

    • How to raise awareness of the role of Europe’s blue economy in supporting coastal communities, creating high quality jobs and growth and in decarbonising our economies
    • How to fully realise the potential of the blue economy and deliver economic growth through investment in sustainable solutions in the region

The outcomes of the workshops will feed into the approach of the BlueInvest platform, within its mission to boost innovation and investment in sustainable technologies for the blue economy, by supporting readiness and access to finance for early-stage businesses, SMEs and scale-ups.
