11th EMODnet Steering Committee Meeting - Agenda

    The EMODnet Steering Committee meets twice a year to review progress and set the priorities for future developments.

    DAY 1, Monday 2 September 2019

    Meeting will start at 9:00

    • Adoption of the SC Meeting Agenda
    1. Updates from DG MARE (Iain Shepherd/Zoi Konstantinou)
    • Marine Knowledge Expert Group
    • Priorities for EMODnet in Phase IV
    1. Updates from EASME (Juan-Carlos Fernández Gomez/Lucie Pautet)
    2. Status update of list of actions from previous meetings (Secretariat & all)
    3. Updates from the Secretariat (Secretariat)
    • EMODnet activities (OSLII), events and calendar 2020

    • Reassessment of the Progress indicators (Secretariat)
    • Secondary menu of each portal website, template on printed maps, visual harmonisation score (Trust-IT)
    1. External projects (e.g. H2020 pilot Blue-Cloud)

    DAY 2, Tuesday 3 September 2019

    MEETING WILL START AT 09:00 (Steering Committee and Technical Working Group joint meeting)

    1. Short update from Data Ingestion (Dick Schaap /Sissi Iona) – PPT maximum 5 slides / max 10 min + 5 min questions
    2. Short updates from the EMODnet thematic projects (Thematic project coordinators) – PPTs maximum 5 slides – Please keep your intervention to 10 min max + 5 min questions
    • Provide a status update on items/activities dating from end of phase III – examples given: Vessel density mapping for Human activities, Underwater noise for Physics, Marine litter for Chemistry, Atlas of Marine Life for Biology, etc.
    • Provide information on new developments in the new contracts
    • Interaction and collaboration with other EMODnet thematic projects

    1. Updates and progress since 4&5th Technical Working Group (Pascal Derycke)
    • EMODnet as service provider
    • JIRA
