The European Investment Bank played a key role in supporting the development of the offshore wind sector in Europe, which now employs over 75,000 people drives investments worth several billion every year. Can the emerging ocean energy sector also benefit from EIB's offer of instruments and technical assistance services?

EIB staff will introduce the instruments that the Bank has at its disposal in support of renewable energy projects, including the new InnovFin Energy Demonstration Fund, and present their views on the challenges to the financing of ocean energy projects. A roundtable debate will follow where participants will get the opportunity to ask questions.
