European Ocean Observing System (EOOS) Conference, 21-23 November 2018, Brussels

The EOOS Conference will bring together the full breadth of ocean observing stakeholder communities from the scientific community, public authorities to industry and citizens to (i) present the wide variety of European efforts from existing observing/monitoring activities to gap analyses, identification of requirements, stress testing the system and assessing cost-benefits; (ii) align data acquisition activities with data processing, management, and sharing infrastructures and initiatives; and to (iii) discuss and strengthen the development of a coordinating ‘cycle’ for evolving EOOS.

Protecting our coasts: how to anticipate and monitor coastal risks? The contribution of coastal data

This meeting will focus on the support provided by the EU to the production and accessibility of environmental data of use for the anticipation and monitoring of coastal risks such as erosion, floods or storms. Anticipating and monitoring these risks is necessary to protect both the population and economic activities in coastal areas.
