Celebration of Baltic Sea Day John Nurminen Foundation

Organised by the John Nurminen Foundation, over 160 activities/events include  in-person activities of Baltic Sea Day in the city of Helsinki (e.g., the ‘Baltic Sea Plunge’ at 6 PM, the ‘Baltic Sea Menu’, ‘Baltic Sea Moments’, with art and music concerts, and a beach clean-up organised by Kiilto plus other events yet to be announced).  See full list of activities her

Make Baltic Blue - Ocean Literacy Event: Baltic Blue Economy Treasure Hunt and tour of the Aranda Research Vessel

In the afternoon at the Tent Village, participants and passers-by will be encouraged to join the Baltic Blue Economy Treasure hunt aboard the Aranda Research Vessel of the Finnish Environment Institute SYKE.

Make Baltic Blue - Ocean Literacy Event: Closing Session - #MakeBalticBlue Pledges

Closing off the workshop part of Day 1, the Closing Session will present the #MakeBalticBlue pledges, as part of the #EU4Ocean #MakeEUBlue Campaign. The high-level speakers, the key Ocean Players, the youth representatives and the EU4Ocean Team will all make dediated pledges for the Baltic Sea.

Make Baltic Blue - Ocean Literacy Event: Ocean Talks - moderated by Youth

(30min) Ocean Talks (hybrid) moderated by Youth Join this session to discuss how Baltic citizens and stakeholders can become more ocean literate and how to bring youth in closer contact with ocean professionals - the session will be moderated by Baltic Youth Representatives as well as the high-level and key Ocean Players from earlier sessions.

Make Baltic Blue - Ocean Literacy Event: Speed-dating with Baltic Blue Bioeconomy Card Game

The participants will be paired up in duos of a youth representative and an ocean professional (alternatively two ocean professionals). The duos will be given two sets of a quartet card game which they can take home with them and will be given a short explanation of how the quartet game works.
