PROJECT DESCRIPTION
BACKGROUND
The aim of the BUILD UP Skills Poland project is to develop a strategy for improving the skills of workers in the construction sector at all levels of education (4-8) in energy efficient building technologies, especially those undergoing deep renovation. In the end it will be crucial to prepare a sufficiently large group of workers in the building sector to be able to achieve the targets of 3% thermo-modernisation of buildings per year. Such a rate would allow to change the energy efficiency level of 90% of existing buildings in the perspective of 2050 and to contribute to the achievement of climate neutrality by the Polish economy. In order to achieve the above mentioned educational goals, the project will: - rebuild the National Build-Up Skills Platform with the participation of key national stakeholders, - evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the 2011 Roadmap and update the Roadmap taking into account actions up to 2030 and policy recommendations; and to adopt the Roadmap for implementation by the stakeholders, - develop a status quo analysis, identifying current and future skills development needs for building renovation.
