**Stata**is a general-purpose statistical software package created in 1985 by StataCorp.

Stata/IC 15 (standard Stata), Stata/SE 15 (**s**pecial **e**dition) & Stata/MP 15 (**m**ulti**p**rocessor) are available as virtualized applications.

Stata/MP 15 is the fastest version of Stata and can handle more variables and observations ^{[2]}, but DG ECFIN has only a few licenses of this one.
