iAGS stands for Independent Annual Growth Survey

The 2014 iAGS report is a response to the Commission's 2014 Annual Growth Survey, produced by researchers at the OFCE, the ECLM and the IMK. The report offers an alternative strategy for economic policy priorities in 2014 and beyond, focussing on back-loading of fiscal consolidation, strongly increasing public "green" investment, active labour market programs, an increase in the education level, a fairer tax system and combating wage deflation. This in the view of the authors will together reduce poverty, inequality and unemployment and lead to a return to sustainable growth and jobs.[1]
