DFT stands for a non-standard CAD file format.

DFT files are intended to efficiently store data organised as multi-dimensional tables. It is a compact way of storing figures and it uses codes for the positions in each dimension and the dimensions. [1]

ATTENTION: Starting 1 January 2015 the dissemination of Eurostat datasets in dft format will be discontinued.[2]
