Pupil/Students Assessment

The assessment of pupils in follow-up study (nástavbové studium) and shortened study (zkrácené studium) is the same as that for upper secondary education.

Certification

The follow-up study is completed by the school-leaving examination. The shortened study is completed by school-leaving or final examination, depending on a type of study.

The follow-up study is completed by the school-leaving examination. The profile part of the school-leaving examination consists of 2 or 3 compulsory examinations. The school head sets the offer of compulsory subjects in the profile part of the examination in such a way that the pupil takes at least 2 compulsory examinations in the area of vocational education. One of the compulsory examinations must take the form of practical work or a thesis.

Pupils who complete their studies at upper secondary schools in shortened study to acquire secondary education with the school-leaving examination  i.e. those who have already acquired secondary education with the school-leaving examination, do not sit for the common part of the school-leaving examination.

In the shortened study leading to an apprenticeship certificate the school head can recognize separate partial examination necessary for passing the final examination if its content corresponds to that which the pupil has previously passed when terminating prior education.
