Through cooperation with local fishermen and designers, and inspired by traditional techniques from other fishing communities in Europe, a young French entrepreneur has developed an innovative fish skin tanning process and now sells her “marine leather” to fashion designers all around the country.

Prin sprijinul financiar al Axei 4, un pescar de pe insula estoniană Hiiumaa și-a diversificat activitățile din afara sezonului de pescuit pentru a produce unelte de pescuit și plase multifuncționale. Pe lângă crearea unui loc de muncă cu normă parțială pentru acest pescar, au mai fost create patru locuri de muncă cu normă întreagă pentru femei la nivel local.
