An Italian FLAG and its partners access funds from EASME Sustainable Blue Economy call to support fishing communities in Tunisia develop their capacity to implement community-led local development (CLLD).
To support the economic revival of the local fishing sector following the COVID-19 crisis, the local fishing communities of the Hauts-de-France region have launched a weekly column in newspapers to promote their seafood products.
The Gargano LAG integrated the promotion of cultural and gastronomy heritage into their local development plan. This includes the development and promotion of the seafood sector. To do so, it supported the development of the Pesca Mia app, which connects the seafood sector, restaurants and private consumers.
En lokal virksomhed, der blev oprettet af lokalsamfundet Achill for 20 år siden, har skabt et akvarium i en bygning, der ikke længere var i brug, og hvor der nu arbejder frivillige personer, pensionerede fiskere og andre med tilknytning til fiskeri. Achill Experience Aquarium & Visitor Centre blev det første kultursted i Irland baseret på lokal fiskeriarv og er fortsat en af de største attraktioner i dette county.

Through a series of inter-connected activities and innovative methods of quality management, a FLAG builds the capacity of local businesses, including fish farmers, restaurants, educational and recreational service providers, and encourages them to cooperate.
The FLAG territory is in the northwest of Constanta County. In the centre of the territory is the city of Harsova which is surrounded by the four communes of Ghindaresti, Horia, Topalu and Crucea. The area situated between the Danube and the Black Sea is characterised by rolling hills and is steeped in history.
The FLAG area is situated along the river Olt. In the territory are ten urban and rural communes which all have small-scale fisheries and aquaculture industries. Other activities such as agriculture, chemical production, forestry, food and tourism dominate the local economy. Local handicrafts are recognised and sold nationwide.
The FLAG is predominantly located in rural areas where activities such as agriculture and fishing are commonplace. The region is situated between Siret and Prut, in the north-east part of Romania. The territory boarders Ukraine in the north and Moldova in the east. At the west and south it has borders with the Suceava and Iași Counties.
