The FLAG territory is situated in the western part of the coastline in the North of Spain, facing the Bay of Biscay (in Spain referred to as Mar Cantabria). It is an area of high natural value, bordered in the west by the river Porcía and in the east by the municipality of Navia, the only city in the territory.

--ARCHIVED as of 31 January 2020-- The Holderness Coast fisheries is a small scale coastal fisheries area specialising in crab and lobster. It is a vibrant industry which continues to grow and develop in the context of a struggling coastal economy traditionally dependant on seaside tourism.

The FLAG area is situated in the western part of the Lublin region. It has very varied terrain, suitable for active tourism, and many protected areas. There are over 900 fish ponds.

The FLAG covers 18 municipalities located in the south-western part of Swietokrzyskie region. The FLAG area is mostly rural, with jobs located mainly in the towns of Jędrzejów, Małogoszcz, Sędziszów and Włoszczowa.

The FLAG area is situated between the rivers Vistula and San and covers remnants of the ancient forests of Sandomierz and Janów Lubelski.

The FLAG is located in the north-western part of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie region. It is characterised by a high percentage of surface water (17% of the area). There are 119 lakes with a total area of around 34 000 hectares, as well as many forests and many protected areas.

The FLAG area is situated in the northern part of Wielkopolska, relatively close to big cities. It is rich in lakes, rivers, ponds and fishing grounds and there is good potential for rural tourism and recreational activities.

The FLAG is situated in the northern part of the Wielkopolska region around the Noteć river. More than half of the area is covered with forests and there are also many lakes and rivers. The natural assets of the area attract many tourists, especially for canoeing, birdwatching, angling, mushroom-gathering, horse-riding and hunting.

The area has a long tradition and experience in fisheries, but the potential of lake fishing and pond farming is underutilised. The unique natural assets can be used to valorise new local products, such as smoked vendace from Drawa Lake District, which is available from many small producers.

The FLAG area is situated in the north-western part of the Western Pomerania region, close to the German border. There are relatively few protected areas or areas of high natural value, but the area’s clean and attractive beaches are a strong asset and a foundation for the development of tourism and water sports.
