    På en studietur til Fyn FLAG i Danmark blev et medlem af en fiskeriforening inspireret til at tilpasse et af de danske projekter til forholdene i sit eget område. Projektet skal sætte skub i turismen og forbedre det lokale kendskab til fiskeriarven.

    Small-scale coastal fishers and fish farmers have been actively involved in the design of a coastal management plan for the Emilia-Romagna coastline. This stock management plan focused on three local high value species identified by the sector at regional level.

    The municipality of Nessebar organised the first edition of “Autumn Passages” in 2020. During this festival, the local community and tourists enjoyed of a wide range of activities to promote Black Sea fisheries products, fishing as a profession and preserving maritime heritage.

    With support from the FLAG, local fishers are helping enforce protection measures and halt poaching in the region’s oldest fisheries marine reserve, Cabo de Palos. Its improved protection has favoured an increase of endemic species.

    The East Finland FLAG has supported the creation of a mobile app for Finnish inland fishers to register their catches. Developed by a University of Applied Sciences and introduced in May 2020, the tool will enhance catch-data collection and traceability along the fisheries value chain.

    Selv om Limfjorden er miljømæssigt belastet, vrimler den med havørreder. Det er en art, som lystfiskere holder meget af. En FLAG og en LAG har indledt et samarbejdsprojekt om at skabe en ny turistdestination baseret på lystfiskeri for at nå de lokale økonomiske og miljømæssige mål.
