FLAG Factsheet
The FLAG area is located south of the coastal city of Rostock and the area of the Baltic Sea – Bad Doberan FLAG area in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It covers the territory of the Guestrow district and is an inland area. The main fishing activities in the region are small-scale inland pond fisheries. The area which is historically characterised by rural settlements and small towns has seen recent developments in water sports tourism.

The FLAG makes no specific calls for projects and therefore has no deadlines. Projects can be submitted on an ad-hoc basis. More information can be found on the FLAG website: www.leader-guestrow.de
As the FLAG is newly formed, it currently has no thematic expertise or experience in cooperation projects. It is, however, willing to share its limited experience to date and is willing to cooperate with neighbouring FLAGs with similar objectives.
The FLAG shares its territory and some board members with a local LEADER LAG. The two entities coordinate their work on an informal basis.
