Cooperation in action

Cooperating with local groups from other territories can allow FLAGs to find the complementarities or critical mass to increase the impacts of their actions. Below are a series of cooperation proposals and calls which might interest FLAGs.   • Taking action on small-scale fisheries and building cooperation in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea

    During the first meeting of the Working Group on Small-Scale and Recreational Fisheries, concrete steps were taken to enhance collaboration and promote synergies for the sustainable development of small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.

  • Cooperation conference with France’s LEADER groups

    France’s LEADER network is organizing a conference on cooperation on 6 and 7 December 2017. The programme will include roundtable discussions, technical and thematic workshops, project visits, networking and a cooperation fair.

  • Interreg call for micro-projects from France and England (Channel)

    The second of a series of four Interreg calls for “micro-projects” from around the Channel is open until 24th October.

  • Galician call for Atlantic cooperation

    At the initiative of the Galician authorities responsible for fisheries CLLD, a meeting for Atlantic FLAGs took place on the 29th of September 2017.

  • Information Day on Blue Growth calls under the EMFF

    New calls for proposals will be open under the EMFF to foster blue growth across Europe. An Information Day will be held on 9 November 2017 in Brussels.

  • Western Mediterranean: Actions for the sustainable development of the blue economy

    This initiative will allow EU and neighbouring countries to work together to increase maritime safety and security, promote sustainable blue growth and jobs, and preserve ecosystems and biodiversity in the western Mediterranean.

  • European incubation network(s) for creativity-driven innovation

    The action aims to support the creation of trans-national network(s) of business incubators and accelerators with a focus on providing business support to SMEs and start-ups in the fashion and the tourism sectors integrating creativity, art and design skills from CCIs (Cultural and Creative Industries) with cutting-edge technology, science and other relevant expertise.

  • Seeking synergies and opportunities for cooperation in the north-west of the Mediterranean

    French, Italian and Spanish FLAGs are coming together to tackle common issues in the north-west region of the Mediterranean, working on the diversification of fisheries and aquaculture activities and adding value to fisheries products.

  • Estonian FLAGs visit North East Scotland FLAG

    As part of a study visit to Scotland, the Lake Peipsi and Lake Võrtsjärve FLAGs visited the North East Scotland FLAG (NESFLAG) last May. Local fishermen demonstrated equipment and techniques to the visitors who also learned about the town’s fisheries heritage and everyday life.
