New start-up company models for young unemployed people

The North Sardinia FLAG wishes to cooperate with FLAGs concerned with new start-up models led by young people, fishermen’s relatives or young people leaving secondary schools who want to create self-employment opportunities. The FLAG has experience in cooperative enterprise management and professional needs analysis. Proposed actions include training on the job for new sea workers, involving fishermen in training and building new companies; testing multifunctional companies (fishing, tourism, education). The objectives of such initiatives would be to build new job models in fisheries; boost fishermen´s income; safeguard fishermen’s professional heritage and set up multifunctional companies in fishing areas.
