New call published: Mediterranean FLAGs invited to create links with North African fishing communities

A call for proposals has been issued by the European Commission on sustainable Blue Economy. Part of this call has been developed with the aim of developing linkages between Mediterranean FLAGs in the EU and fisheries/coastal communities from Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania.

FLAGs could be particularly interested in the strand 3 “Blue networks in the Mediterranean” and more specifically its point C. While the other strands of this call are not directed specifically to FLAGs they might also be very relevant for some of their local projects targeting the blue economy. This is a unique opportunity to create linkages and transfer good practices and knowledge between fishing communities from both side of the Mediterranean basin.
