Blue Economy Call 2018

EASME has recently opened a Blue Economy Call, with a total budget of €18.7 million from the EMFF.  The call focuses on 3 topics: Blue Labs (Topic 1), Blue Careers (Topic 2) and Blue Economy (Topic 3). The first two of which might be particularly interesting for FLAGs.

Three of the five objectives from Topic 1 - Blue Labs, for example, are relevant for many FLAG areas:  Innovative marina and leisure boats;  Marine biomass and blue-bioeconomy; and  Eco-friendly aquaculture. €5 million, at a rate of 80% co-financing, are available for this topic.

As for Topic 2 - Blue careers, €5.5 million, for the same co-financing rate are available and thus could also  involve FLAGs in cooperation with maritime academies and training institutes and business.
