  • The next FARNET seminar for FLAGs will take place on 13-15 March 2018 in Vigo, Spain. The theme of the event will be “FLAGs and local resource management” and will aim to assist FLAGs in their efforts to contribute to the development of a bottom-up approach to local resource management and support the conservation of local resources. The event will stimulate exchange, peer learning and cooperation among FLAGs interested in issues linked with local resource management.
  • FARNET's fifth transnational seminar of the 2014-2020 programming period took place on 20-22 November 2017. The seminar aimed to raise the capacity of FLAGs to foster integration of aquaculture into their territory and stimulated exchange and peer learning between FLAGs interested in supporting their local aquaculture sector.
  • Managing Authorities and National Networks met in Estonia on 18-20 September 2017 to identify the potential of CLLD and suggest improvements for the future. Taking place under the title “Reflections on the future of CLLD in fisheries and aquaculture areas”, this meeting is important in terms of creating momentum on the post 2020 discussion.
