    Keeping you up to date on efforts and actions carried out by FLAGs, National Networks and Managing Authorities to support the fisheries and aquaculture sector in EU Member States overcome the challenges presented by the coronavirus, COVID-19.   • FARNET's 9th transnational seminar for FLAGS will take place in Palanga, Lithuania from 23–25 JUNE 2020 (new dates!!) This will be the first of a series of regional (sea-basin) seminars, and it targets all FLAGs around the Baltic sea basin (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden) as well as all the inland FLAGs (including Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia).
  • The next FARNET meeting for Managing Authorities and National Networks implementing fisheries CLLD will focus on programming CLLD for 2021-2027, as well as including a session on adapting to COVID-19. Key points: 1) How to ensure evaluation recommendations and other past lessons are put into practice in the future; 2) How to move from Programmes based on measures to ones more focused on results.
  • The FARNET meeting for Managing Authorities and National Networks took place on the 14th and 15th of October and focused on the following topics: the role and achievements of networks in improving CLLD delivery; the use of Simplified Cost Options (SCOs) in CLLD; and the state of play and prospects for FLAG cooperation.
