l’Unità di assistenza FARNET con la partecipazione dei colleghi di DG MARE, ha organizzato un webinar sull’argomento dei provvedimenti COVID-19 nel FEAMP e gli eventuali cambiamenti nel quadro operativo dei FLAG per contribuire a fronteggiare la crisi.

The FARNET meeting for Managing Authorities and National Networks implementing fisheries CLLD focused on programming CLLD for 2021-2027, as well as including a session on adapting to COVID-19. Key points: 1) How to ensure evaluation recommendations and other past lessons are put into practice in the future; 2) How to move from Programmes based on measures to ones more focused on results.

The FARNET meeting for Managing Authorities and National Networks took place on the 14th and 15th of October and focused on the following topics: the role and achievements of networks in improving CLLD delivery; the use of Simplified Cost Options (SCOs) in CLLD; and the state of play and prospects for FLAG cooperation.

On behalf of the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) of the European Commission, and in collaboration with DGs AGRI, REGIO and EMPL, the FARNET Support Unit organised a major event showcasing how thousands of citizens are successfully using the “bottom-up” approach for sustainable development in their areas, known as CLLD (community-led local development).

The FARNET meeting for Managing Authorities and National Networks took place on the 17th and 18th of June and focused on the following topics: - a reflection on types and results of projects supported by FLAGs, - exchange on progress made to improve delivery of fisheries CLLD, including the results of the FLAG survey. - strengthening exchange and networking around sea basins.

FARNET's 8th transnational seminar took place from 2-4 April 2019 in Bantry, Ireland. The seminar was an opportunity for FLAG managers to explore ways in which their FLAG areas can become “smarter” by doing things differently and investing in imaginative ideas to tackle existing challenges. It was also be a chance to reflect on how to work towards smarter strategies for the future.

FARNET Managing Authorities and National Networks met on the 15th and 16th of October in Brussels to work on the implementation of fisheries CLLD.

A workshop led by the Committee of the Regions’ NAT Commission secretariat and the FARNET Support Unit during the European Days of Cities and Regions (8-10 October)

FARNET's 7th transnational seminar took place on 20-22 November 2018 in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France. It offered FLAGs an opportunity to better understand what circular economy is and to exchange on different types of initiatives they might support to encourage more sustainable local production and consumption habits: based on reducing waste, re-using products and recycling materials.

FARNET Managing Authorities and National Networks met on the 19th and 20th of April in Brussels to discuss the implementation of fisheries CLLD.
