Resilient Coastal Communities: Transnational FLAG Seminar

At the initiative of DG MARE, the 13th and final FARNET transnational seminar for FLAGs took place on 16-18 November. Focused on resilient coastal communities, the seminar had two main strands. Firstly, it showcased innovative projects from the 2014-2020 period and how they have contributed to building economic, social, and environmental resilience in FLAG areas. Secondly, it offered FLAGs an opportunity to exchange and prepare for the future, with a particular focus on themes including digitalisation, social innovation, and biodiversity. Combined, the two strands of the seminar highlighted tools, both old and new, for FLAGs to adapt and prepare their local development strategies in line with future challenges and opportunities linked to the Blue Economy.
