Integrating aquaculture within local communities: Weiden, 20-22 Nov. 2017

FARNET's fifth transnational seminar of the 2014-2020 programming period took place on 20-22 November 2017 in Weiden (Bavaria), Germany. The theme of the event was “Integrating aquaculture within local communities”. This seminar was organised at the initiative of the European Commission with the support of the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture and the Tirschenreuth FLAG.

The seminar aimed to:

  • Raise the capacity of FLAGs to foster integration of aquaculture into their territory, taking into account the complexity and diversity of this sector,
  • Stimulate exchange and peer learning between FLAGs interested in supporting their local aquaculture sector.

The seminar themes were addressed through a series of presentations, moderated discussions in working groups, Project and Knowledge Hubs and during a field visit. You will find the agenda with links to the presentations below.
