FARNET Managing Authorities meeting, Brussels, 15-16 October 2018

FARNET Managing Authorities and National Networks working on the implementation of fisheries CLLD met on the 15th and 16th of October in Brussels to discuss the following topics:

  • Improving cooperation between different actors in the delivery chain, in particular with bodies responsible for payments and administration;
  • Ensuring that CLLD project data reported in Infosys corresponds to reality and is useful for management purposes (session organised jointly with the FAME Support Unit);
  • Strengthening exchange and networking around sea basins.

The meeting offered also an opportunity to take stock of CLLD implementation and share information in bilateral and trilateral discussions with DG MARE and the FSU.

  • Discussion on legal provisions for fisheries CLLD post-2020

2. Improving the relevance of CLLD project data

  • Introductory presentations: overview of information based on Infosys data (projects monitoring data as of December 2017), and how to make the best use of this information in programme management
  • Discussion hubs facilitated by FARNET and FAME Support Units

  • Individual discussions on collecting and using the Infosys data with experts from FAME SU and FSU
  • NN discussion, a session for National Networks helping them maintain the exchange and preparing the sea basin session on the following day
  • Bi- or tri-laterals with stock-taking of the implementation process
