FARNET Managing Authorities meeting, Brussels, 19-20 April 2018

FARNET Managing Authorities and National Networks met on the 19th and 20th of April in Brussels to discuss the implementation of fisheries CLLD. The meeting focused on the following topics:
 
Improving delivery of fisheries CLLD, making the system more flexible while remaining audit- and control-proof;
Exchange of good practices on ensuring speedy operationalisation of FLAGs, avoiding the “funding gap” between programming periods;
Peer learning between National Networks and stimulating exchange around sea basins.

  • Maintaining operations of FLAGs between periods – example from Galicia

2. Parallel activities:

Discussion hubs on maintaining operations of FLAGs between periods, exchange of experience between MAs – what worked well, what would we wish to improve next time round?

NN workshop

A special session for National Networks, aiming to facilitate exchange on challenges faced, presentation of interesting practices, leading to potential joint action where possible

5. Parallel Working Groups: Improving the delivery of fisheries CLLD

Three parallel WG, exchanging experience on key delivery-related issues identified by participants

6. Stimulating exchange around sea basins

Parallel working groups focusing on existing or potential cooperation projects or ideas for exchange between MAs, NNs and FLAGs.
