Through cooperation between the island government and the FLAG, the fishing sector in la Gomera has been involved in the study, location and design of a protocol for the removal of traps used for illegal fishing.

Η ομάδα FLAG Ανατολικής Φινλανδίας έχει υποστηρίξει τη δημιουργία μιας εφαρμογής κινητού τηλεφώνου για τους αλιείες εσωτερικών υδάτων της Φινλανδίας με σκοπό την καταγραφή των αλιευμάτων τους. Το εργαλείο που εκπονήθηκε από το Πανεπιστήμιο Εφαρμοσμένων Επιστημών και ξεκίνησε να χρησιμοποιείται το Μάιο του 2020 θα ενισχύσει τη συλλογή και την ιχνηλασιμότητα των αλιευτικών δεδομένων σε όλο το εύρος της αλιευτικής αλυσίδας αξίας.

Croatian FLAGs (currently 14) were selected for the first time in 2017 by the Ministry for Agriculture. Croatia’s objectives for the implementation of CLLD in fisheries include the sustainable economic development of coastal and island communities by adding value to fisheries-linked activities, and diversifying activities from other sectors.

Despite experiencing environmental strain, the Limfjord has an abundance of sea trout. This species is very attractive to anglers. A FLAG-LAG cooperation project addresses local economic and environmental goals by creating a new tourist location based on recreational fishing.

The 2014-2020 programming period is the first time that Croatia has Fisheries Local Action Groups, which started to implement their strategies in 2019.

Romania is one of just five Member States, organising FLAG cooperation at National level, with specific calls for projects that it plans to open once a year starting in 2020.

Cooperation is strongly encouraged in Greece and the proposal of at least one (inter-territorial or transnational) cooperation project was a compulsory element of the application process for candidate FLAGs to receive EMFF funding. Some of the themes emerging most strongly from the Greek local development strategies include cooperation around tourism, thematic trails (e.g. around gastronomy, archaeology…) and diving parks.

The ‘Mar das Illas’ cooperation project sees three FLAGs in the Pontevedra province working together to support local fishers and families in their entrepreneurial efforts focused on marine and pesca-tourism.

Το έργο συνεργασίας «Mar das Illas» διαθέτει τρεις ΟΤΔA στην επαρχία Ποντεβέδρα που συνεργάζονται για να υποστηρίξουν τους τοπικούς ψαράδες και τις οικογένειές τους στις επιχειρηματικές τους προσπάθειες, οι οποίες εστιάζονται στον θαλάσσιο και τον αλιευτικό-τουρισμό.
