About the Project
The Human Resources Management Program aims at supporting he VIN's management committee dealing with volunteers and HRs management, organizational change and employment relations matters. The volunteer will support HRs selection and recruitment process of local volunteers; she will interact with national and international volunteers to explore challenges and identify issues and possible solution to make volunteering more effective; she will consistently support the management team to develop/update the staff monitoring strategy on volunteers and updating HR information systems accurate.

I had the great opportunity to be an EU Aid Volunteer in Nepal, collaborating with VIN NGO, sent by FOCSIV (SO in the Initiative) to volunteer as a Human Resources Manager for one month. It was a pleasure to have the chance to live in Kathmandu Valley with other great volunteers.

I had participated in other international volunteering experiences and I have to recognize that I was positively surprised at how VIN is well organised and how they manage all the volunteers. There were volunteers from all around the world and all of them were really motivated and with one specific project assigned.

The contact between all participants, the commitment of the NGO and the chance to visit the communities and see how VIN is working with the most vulnerable families, has been an amazing experience to me and I cannot be more thankful.

Officially my volunteering experience should have taken 5 months, but because of the Covid 19 I had to leave Nepal after just one month and I would love to come back one day to keep doing what I was supposed to do. However, I had the opportunity to work online from Spain, my home country, during 3 months, supporting VIN with new projects, such as women’s and youth empowerment, children’s development, public health and environment conservation. Besides I participated in developing a crowdfunding strategy and in different hiring recruitment processes.

Considering my experience, I strongly recommend everybody to have an EU Aid Volunteer experience: a great opportunity to discover amazing countries, to gain relevant professional experience in the field and to contribute to create a more just and equal world.
