Médecins du Monde BE a démarré son intervention au Mali en 2002 dans la région de Kidal, région la plus éloignée de Bamako et frontalière avec l’Algérie. Actuellement, nous sommes présents à Gao et Ménaka avec un projet de santé sexuelle et reproductive et un volet vaccination et nutrition pour les enfants. MdM BE vise également à soutenir l'accès aux soins médicaux pour les populations nomades et géographiquement dispersées.

Médecins du Monde Belgium (MdM BE) has a long experience in delivering culturally competent, high-quality healthcare in some of the most difficult environments through its mobile clinics, Primary Health Care supervisory teams, rehabilitation of health facilities, distribution of pharmaceuticals, and support to Referral Health Centers. Its history in northern Mali, and in the Ménaka Region in particular, has allowed it to develop close community relationships and high levels of trust. In 2016, its work has included material, technical, and staffing support of 45 health facilities, as well as the delivery of mobile medical teams in both Gao and Ménaka Districts.
